Tarpon’s Investments in Private Equity
Tarpon invests in Private Equity through the Tarpon All Equities Fund. Given the flexible mandate of this Fund there is no compulsory allocation to private equity. This means we always compare private equity opportunities with public equity ones, and choose between them according to which segment is more attractive at any given moment.
Proprietary Origination
We intend to generally source transactions through our wide network contacts rather than seeking to acquire companies being auctioned or widely marketed by investment banking firms. We will continue to identify investment opportunities that include strategic partners and/or co-investors having complementary skills to those that we possess.
Completed Deals
Tarpon has completed the following investments in the past 24 months:
BrasilAgro, a real estate approach to farmland development
Brenco, the largest ethanol greenfield project in Brazil

Direcional, Real estate company focused on low and middle income market
