Philip Reade

Philip joined Tarpon in September 2009. Prior to Tarpon, Philip was the Head of the Brazilian operations of NY-based hedge fund, Marathon Asset Management, which focuses on private and public equities as well as structured credit. Before Marathon, Philip founded and ran Brasilis Seafood, a company that financed seafood processing plants in the Northeast of Brazil, as well as procured, processed and exported packaged seafood to Europe and the US. After that, Philip worked for Goldman Sachs in Sao Paulo as part of the Investment Banking division, advising clients on M&A transactions in Latin America. Philip started his career at Brazilian Banco Garantia and then at McKinsey and Company

Philip has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (2000-2002) and an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Sao Paulo (1993-1996).
