Marcelo Lima

Marcelo Lima joined Tarpon’s Investment Team in April 2008 and monitors our investments in retail, consumer products, and renewable energy. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Cia Hering and Brenco. Prior to joining Tarpon, he was a Vice President at Itaú BBA’s Investment Banking division, responsible for covering clients on the consumer goods, retail, services, technology, media and telecom sectors. Formerly, Marcelo was a Vice President at Merrill Lynch advising clients on M&A transactions in Latin America. He initiated his career at JP Morgan, as an Associate in the Investment Banking group based in São Paulo and New York. He has 14 years of investment experience, having raised more than US$13 billion in equity offerings, and advised clients in privatizations, M&A and private equity transactions totaling more than US$15 billion.

Marcelo majored in Business Administration at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and has a Law degree from Universidade de São Paulo (USP).
