Fernando Shayer

Fernando joined Tarpon in October 2006 and was appointed Managing Partner on March 2007. Before joining Tarpon, Fernando was a partner at the Brazilian law firm Machado, Meyer, Sendacz and Opice Advogados, where he worked for more than 10 years specializing in corporate, capital market and private equity transactions. He also worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York, and at Banco CCF in Brazil.

Fernando has a degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo and in Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) as well as a Master’s degree in Law (L.L.M.) from Columbia University, New York.
